  • Pro-Truth Pledge
  • Columbus, OH

Job Description

Truth doesn't spread on its own — it takes people willing to show up and make it happen.

About Us The Pro-Truth Pledge (PTP) is a science-backed nonprofit dedicated to fighting misinformation and restoring integrity to public discourse. We mobilize everyday citizens to hold politicians, journalists, and media figures accountable to a set of evidence-based honesty behaviors — grounded in peer-reviewed behavioral science research. Our global volunteer network is the engine that powers this mission.

Position Summary As an Event Organizer, you'll bring the PTP mission to life through in-person events that engage and inspire your local community. From community fairs and speaker panels to volunteer meetups and town hall presence, you'll plan and execute gatherings that make truth a visible, tangible force in your city.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and manage PTP community events including Truth Tables, speaker events, and workshops
  • Coordinate volunteer attendance and logistics for local rallies, forums, and public gatherings
  • Organize volunteer meetups to strengthen team cohesion and engagement
  • Track event outcomes and report impact metrics to PTP leadership

Skills

  • Experience in event planning, coordination, or logistics
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Comfortable engaging with the public in community settings
  • Able to manage multiple moving parts independently

Benefits

  • Develop real-world event planning and project management experience
  • Build a local community of people who share your values
  • Gain leadership experience within a mission-driven organization

How to Apply Visit protruthpledge.org/volunteer to submit your application. We'll reach out to schedule a brief introduction meeting to discuss this role and find the best fit for your skills and availability.
